Most informative video I have seen on these generators.. Thanks for all the tips. I believe these are going on sale at Harbor Freight in the next month or so, they had an ad posted of upcoming sales.

excellent video Bob. You really summed up the generator nicely and with really good info. I bought the harbor freight version on sale and used a 20% coupon. Got it for a total of $64! I had the same leak problem at the petcock/fuel valve. I just put some permatex thread sealant on it and time will tell if that fixes it. Also worthy of note is the HF model comes with a crap spark plug. Replaced it with a champion gapped at .025 and I’m getting 1-pull starts

@youfingsuck 1-PULL STARTS ? if that ever happened to me , from cold ! on a 2 stroke ! i would think ” I must be dead , its going to start raining frogs any time now ” I should try a new plug , i have them already (NGK BR8ES ) but , I AM CHEEP and can’t toss a working plug. I should install one and drop the old one by mistake , on concrete ….Oops!

@jasonmoore1900 Some people do (and you did it ) . i would not power anything with electronics in it . this generator has no voltage regulator and a crude governor so it’s CPS (cycles per second ) can be as low as 40 and high as 80 . voltage can be down to 90 or jump to 160 when a load is switched off . this is more than a lot of equipment can handle . but for lights , appliances , power tools and the stuff you really NEED ! it will do the job

Awesome info vid. I bought mine from an auction outlet. Brand new and never used for $40 . I will keep watch on mine an hope I get five years out of it. Keep it up.
